# Auction House Guide

Learn how to buy and sell items on the TrappedMC auction house to earn money and find valuable items.

# About the Auction House

The Auction House is a server-wide marketplace where players can buy and sell in-game items. It's the main player-driven economy on the server, with all listings and purchases managed entirely by players.

# How It Works

The Auction House operates as a completely player-driven marketplace:

Player Listings: All items are listed by players, not the server
Market-Determined Prices: Prices are set by players based on supply and demand
Transaction Tax: All transactions incur a 15% tax which goes into the server tax pool
Tax Benefits: This tax contributes to a global tax refund, which can be triggered by Wither Keys as a very rare event
Auction History: Players can view auction history on the TrappedMC Discord server

# Auction House Locations

Main Auction House: Located at spawn Secondary Locations: Outside each Mall Area

Auction Duration

Items listed on the auction house remain available for 7 days. After this period, unsold items will be returned to your expired auctions menu.

# Tracking Transactions

To view your auction history and track market trends:

Join the TrappedMC Discord
Navigate to the auction channel
Browse categories or use filters to narrow down results
Use the search function to find specific items or track price history

# Bidding on Items

To place a bid on an item:

Approach the auction house NPC and right-click on them
Browse the menu and selection of items available to purchase
Left-click on an item you would like to purchase
Select the green buy section on the left-hand side to confirm your purchase

# Retrieving Purchased Items

To collect your purchased items:

Right-click on the NPC again
Select the tab labeled "Purchased Auctions"
A menu will display all the items you have purchased
Left-click the item you would like to retrieve to your inventory
Note that you have 7 days to claim your purchases

# Selling Items

Listing your items on the auction house allows you to set your own prices and potentially earn more than selling to NPCs.

# Listing Process

Hold the item you want to sell in your main hand
Stand near an Auction House NPC
Type /ah sell <price> in chat

Location Requirement

You must be at spawn to access the Auction House. Use /spawn to teleport there.

# Managing Your Listings

To view or cancel your active listings:

Right-click the Auction House NPC
Select "Active auctions" on the bottom right corner under the sunflower symbol
Left-click on any items you wish to unlist from the Auction house

# Pricing Strategy

Tips for Successful Sales:

Check current prices for similar items before listing
Price rare items higher, but be reasonable
Consider bundle deals for common items
