# Getting Started

Pets provide various boosts and benefits as you play on TrappedMC, enhancing your mining and fishing activities.

Pets can be obtained through various activities on the server:

You can have up to 2 of one type of pet and 1 of the other equipped at one time.

Pets gain experience as you use them, leveling up and unlocking more powerful benefits:

Pets come in different rarities, with higher rarities providing stronger benefits and unlocking more boosts:

As your pet's rarity increases, it retains all boosts from lower rarities and gains access to new ones at higher levels.

TrappedMC features two main categories of pets, each specializing in different activities.

Mining pets provide boosts related to mining activities, including increased mcMMO experience, better drop rates, and special mining bonuses.

Crypto Boosts: Increases amount or rate of crypto found
Enchant Activation Boost: Increases enchant activation chances
GPU/RTX Drop Boosts: Increases natural drop rate of specified GPU's (30 Series, 3070, 3080, etc.)
40 Series Fragment Boosts: Improves drop rates for 40 Series GPU fragments
Key Miner Activation Boost: Improves key miner activation
mcMMO Boosts: Increases experience earned for specific mcMMO skills (Mining, Repair)
Minecrate Drop Boost: Increases chance of finding minecrates
Shop Sell Boost: Increases the value of items sold to shops
Trench Activation Boost: Improves trench activation rates
