# Your First Day on TrappedMC

When you first join TrappedMC, you'll spawn on the bus. Make your way off the bus and head left to the NPC's to start your experience.

# Orientation

  1. Take a moment to look around the spawn area
  2. Read the Rules found under Information on our website
  3. Type /spawn at any time to return to this central hub
  4. Use /warp tutorial to access the beginner's tutorial area

# Essential Commands

Here are some basic commands to help you get started:

/ranks View available ranks and requirements
/msg <player> or /whisper <player> Send a private message to another player
/spawn Return back to the main spawn area
/sellall Sell any block or ore items in your inventory
/q or /quests View your available quests

# Starting Your Journey

As a new player, you'll begin with a one-time starter pickaxxe to begin your sentence.

  1. Head to the A-Mine to begin collecting resources (you can find it by using the warp NPC located down the steps and to the left of the stairs)
  2. Use /sellall frequently to convert your mined blocks into money
        Alternatively, right-click the Iron Golem in any mine to sell your items
  3. Check your quests with /quests to start working on rank requirements

# Mining and Resource Collection

Mining is the primary way to earn money and progress on TrappedMC.

# Finding the Mines

  1. From spawn, look for signs pointing to the mines or use the warp NPC located down the steps and to the left of the stairs.
  2. The A-Mine is where all new players begin
  3. Each mine corresponds to a rank (A, B, C, etc.)
  4. You can only access mines that match your current rank

# Mining Efficiently

To maximize your mining efficiency:

  1. Mine in a systematic pattern to clear blocks efficiently
  2. Upgrade your tools when possible using vanilla enchanting at the enchants warp
  3. Keep a few extra pickaxes on you in case one breaks

# Selling Your Resources

After mining, you'll need to sell your resources:

  1. Type /sellall to sell all sellable items in your inventory
        Alternatively, right-click the Iron Golem in any mine to sell your items
  2. Check your balance with /bal to see your earnings

# Ranking Up

The prison rank system is the main progression path on TrappedMC.

# Understanding Ranks

  1. All players start at Rank A
  2. Progress through the alphabet (A → B → C → etc.)
  3. Higher ranks unlock new mines and give access to better ores
  4. Each rank requires a specific amount of money to advance

# How to Rank Up

To advance to the next rank, you need to meet two requirements:

  1. Have enough money for the rank cost
  2. Complete at least 5 of the available quests for your current rank

When you're ready:

  1. Type /rankup to advance to the next rank
  2. Your balance will be reduced by the rank cost
  3. You'll gain access to the next mine and its benefits

# Understanding the Economy

TrappedMC has a robust economy system that you'll need to understand.

# Currency Types

There are multiple currencies on the server:

  1. Money - The primary currency, earned by selling blocks and items
  2. Tokens - Special currency used for enchantments and upgrades
  3. Silver - Special currency used for fishing
  4. Illegal Money - Earned through contraband activities and used for gangs and underground purchases (unlocked later)

# Earning Money

Besides mining, there are several ways to earn money:

  1. Completing quests and challenges
  2. Participating in server events
  3. Selling items to other players via the auction house
  4. Setting up shops once you have a mall
  5. Fishing (Available for Rank F+)
  6. Farming (Cell required)

# The Auction House

The auction house is a player-driven marketplace:

  1. Access it at the NPC near spawn
  2. Browse items listed by other players
  3. List your own items for sale with /ah sell <price>
  4. Collect your earnings automatically when items sell

# Player Malls

Malls allow you to set up your own shops:

  1. Rent a mall space at one of the available mall warps
  2. Create chest shops to sell items to other players or buy items from other players
  3. Set your own prices and manage inventory
