Essential Commands
Here are some basic commands to help you get started:
#
Starting Your Journey
As a new player, you'll begin with a one-time starter pickaxxe to begin your sentence.
- Head to the A-Mine to begin collecting resources (you can find it by using the warp NPC located down the steps and to the left of the stairs)
- Use
/sellall
frequently to convert your mined blocks into money
Alternatively, right-click the Iron Golem in any mine to sell your items - Check your quests with
/quests
to start working on rank requirements
#
Mining and Resource Collection
Mining is the primary way to earn money and progress on TrappedMC.
#
Finding the Mines
- From spawn, look for signs pointing to the mines or use the warp NPC located down the steps and to the left of the stairs.
- The A-Mine is where all new players begin
- Each mine corresponds to a rank (A, B, C, etc.)
- You can only access mines that match your current rank
#
Mining Efficiently
To maximize your mining efficiency:
- Mine in a systematic pattern to clear blocks efficiently
- Upgrade your tools when possible using vanilla enchanting at the enchants warp
- Keep a few extra pickaxes on you in case one breaks
Starter Pickaxe Care
Be careful not to break your Starter Pickaxe! It can be repaired up to 5 times. Keep an eye on its durability and repair it before it breaks completely.
#
Selling Your Resources
After mining, you'll need to sell your resources:
- Type
/sellall
to sell all sellable items in your inventory
Alternatively, right-click the Iron Golem in any mine to sell your items - Check your balance with
/bal
to see your earnings
Better Prices
For better selling prices, visit the Server Shop instead of using /sellall
. The Server Shop offers the highest rates for your items, though it requires traveling to a specific location. Learn more in our Server Shop Guide.
#
Ranking Up
The prison rank system is the main progression path on TrappedMC.
#
Understanding Ranks
- All players start at Rank A
- Progress through the alphabet (A → B → C → etc.)
- Higher ranks unlock new mines and give access to better ores
- Each rank requires a specific amount of money to advance
Advanced Progression
After reaching Rank Z, you can continue your journey with the Prestige and Champion systems. These advanced progression paths offer more exclusive content for dedicated players.
#
How to Rank Up
To advance to the next rank, you need to meet two requirements:
- Have enough money for the rank cost
- Complete at least 5 of the available quests for your current rank
When you're ready:
- Type
/rankup
to advance to the next rank - Your balance will be reduced by the rank cost
- You'll gain access to the next mine and its benefits
Quests
Quests are an essential part of progression on TrappedMC. You can view all available quests for each rank in our Quests Guide.
Progression Strategy
Focus on ranking up as quickly as possible in the early game. The higher-tier mines contain more valuable blocks, allowing you to earn money faster for future ranks.
