Bugs & Reports
#
Purpose
The purpose of this page is to establish a transparent, consistent, and fair approach for when and how TrappedMC staff will intervene in player-related issues, bugs, or other concerns. This framework outlines expectations for players, the types of evidence required for intervention, and the criteria under which staff intervention is justified. By providing clear guidance, we aim to create a balanced environment where players understand their responsibilities and the limits of staff involvement.
#
General Principles
#
Player Accountability:
Players are expected to resolve most in-game disputes among themselves using available in-game mechanics and resources. This encourages self-sufficiency and prevents unnecessary burden on staff resources.
#
Staff Discretion:
TrappedMC staff retain full discretion to determine the necessity and scope of intervention. Players are not entitled to intervention, and staff decisions are final. This ensures that interventions are made in a fair and unbiased manner.
#
Evidence-Based Action:
Interventions will only be considered if supported by sufficient, credible evidence as outlined below. The goal is to ensure that only legitimate claims are addressed.
#
Conditions for Staff Intervention
Notice
TrappedMC staff will only intervene in player-related issues or bug-related incidents under the conditions listed in this section. We reserve the right to intervene outside of this framework at our discretion.
#
Use of Clipping Software:
Players must provide video evidence via commonly accepted clipping software. The video must clearly depict the incident in question from start to finish, without cuts or edits. This ensures the integrity of the evidence and prevents misrepresentation.
The clip must clearly show the bug, player conduct, or other issue that requires staff intervention. Vague, partial, or contextless clips will not be considered. Full context is essential to ensure proper evaluation of the issue.
#
Corroboration with Logs:
Video evidence must be supported by server logs where applicable. This may include, but is not limited to, chat logs, transaction logs, and server event logs. Logs provide an impartial record of player activity and support more informed decision-making.
In cases where the clip alone is insufficient, staff may review server logs to validate claims. This additional step ensures that player claims are thoroughly investigated before intervention occurs.
#
Exceptional Circumstances:
While the above criteria form the standard procedure, staff may intervene at their sole discretion when they determine there is sufficient evidence to warrant action. This discretionary power ensures that unique or unforeseen issues can still be addressed.
Exceptional circumstances are evaluated on a case-by-case basis and do not create precedent for future cases. This prevents the misuse of past interventions as justification for future claims.
#
Submission Process
To report an issue that may require staff intervention, players must adhere to the following process:
#
Discord Ticket System:
- All issues must be submitted through the official TrappedMC Discord ticketing system. This allows for structured issue tracking and response.
- The player must clearly describe the nature of the issue and the requested outcome. Clarity in reporting allows staff to address the issue more efficiently.
#
Required Evidence:
- Submit a clear, unedited video clip of the issue, preferably from a commonly used clipping tool. Clear evidence reduces the time required for investigation.
- Include any supplementary information, such as time-stamps, player names, or relevant context to assist the staff in investigating the matter. Context is crucial for fair evaluation.
#
Review Process:
- Staff will review the submission, including both the clip and any available server logs. This comprehensive review ensures a fair and unbiased investigation.
- Staff will notify the player of the outcome, but specific details regarding the review process may be withheld to protect the integrity of the investigation. Transparency is balanced with the need for confidentiality.

Handling of Doctored Evidence
TrappedMC maintains a strict zero-tolerance policy for falsified, edited, or doctored evidence. Attempts to mislead staff will result in the following consequences:
#
Immediate Rejection:
Any submission found to contain altered, cut, or otherwise manipulated evidence will be rejected in its entirety.
#
Penalties for Misconduct:
Players found to have submitted false evidence may be subject to in-game penalties, including but not limited to warnings, suspensions, or permanent bans.
#
Blacklist from Future Submissions:
Players who repeatedly submit doctored evidence may be blacklisted from submitting future claims for staff intervention.
